Day 3 (and the final) day of jury duty. We got out a little early and I decided the 40th floor from the day before wasn’t enough. I paid $5 and got access to the observation deck of the Columbia Tower! The view was amazing and I shot this of I-5 as it snakes it’s way south.

Day 2 of jury duty, and I ventured up to the 40th floor of the Columbia Tower for this shot. These are the buildings to the North, looking towards Lake Union.

I was given to duty of sitting in a room for 3 days waiting to be called as a juror for a case heard in Seattle Municipal Court. This first day it was really rainy most of the day. It did clear up a little around lunch time though, and I was able to walk around downtown a bit and get this shot. I added the depth of field on the top of the building with the TiltShift app.

It was late in the day and I had not taken a photo yet, so I pointed my iPhone at my laptop screen as I was logging onto it.

While walking around the University District I spotted this little guy in his cage in the back of a pickup truck. He was very much trying to find a way out of the cage.

I love Roots gear, but it is pretty expensive. I got this toque for just $10 though. Not bad!

This is decoration along the Seattle waterfront. Erin spotted it as we were walking to the Clipper terminal.

I am very lucky to work so close to an active train yard. It seems to provide me with endless photo subjects.

A close-up shot of the front element of my new DSLR lens, the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8.

This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen created with spray paint. It was made by Seattle artist Aorta.

I shot these little guys while at PetCo getting some litter for our cat. They were hard to catch with the iPhone’s slow capture speed, but after taking a handful of shots I got this one.
